About the Homebrew Fest
Iron Hand Brewing presents Home Brew Beer Fest benefitting Camp SMILE. On Saturday - April 6, 2024, join us at the Iron Hand beer festival where you can enjoy great beer and food, and learn more about the amazing diversity of beer produced around the Gulf Coast and Mobile, AL area!
Homebrewers from South Alabama and all along the Gulf Coast will present their finest home brewed beer, cider, and mead for your enjoyment, tasting and ultimate judgement. Each brewer will provide one or more of their best styles and you will have the opportunity, and yes responsibility, to judge them in a number of beer style categories. Anticipated judging categories will including best IPA, Sour, Ale, Lager, and of course Best of Show. The homebrew will be celebrated on the street ( 206 State Street, Mobile AL 36603 ) in front of Iron Hand Brewing in downtown Mobile, AL.
We also have commemorative tasting glasses and t-shirts available for pre-purchase and pickup the day of the beer festival. All proceeds from brewfest donations and sales will be for the benefit of Camp SMILE.
At check-in, in addition to wrist bands, each person of legal drinking age will be given one or more tokens to be used to vote for their favorite competing beverages. Any additional items purchased (e.g. glasses or t-shirts) can be picked up at check-in time for the event. During the beer festival, participants may sample as many of the homebrews as they wish and may submit votes in any or all categories of the competition.
Separate from the outdoor special event area, we will continue to serve draft beer, wine, and liquor in the restaurant. The restaurant will be open and will provide food for the event, both indoors and in the special event area.
